Exotic Spintronic Properties of Transition?Metal Monolayers on Graphyne

The recent discovery of 2D magnetic materials, which are compounds transition metals (TM) with other elements, has opened new avenues for basic research on low-dimensional magnetism and potential applications in spintronics. To further explore magnets pure TM is an interesting topic. Based the first-principles calculations, here a strategy obtaining monolayer magnets, i.e., depositing atoms graphyne (Gy), proper hexagonal hollow geometry, proposed. It found that perfect geometry can be formed Gy. exhibits wealth physical properties dependence species, such as ferromagnetic anti-ferromagnetic ground states, well intriguing semimetal half-metal characteristics. also characteristics make have great horizontal tunnel junction (MTJ) devices, where tunneling magnetoresistance reach high 850 000%. These results provide framework outstanding spintronic properties.
